Next-generation wireless research, in partnership with industry
NYU WIRELESS brings together academic researchers with industrial affiliates who are among the leading companies in the wireless space. Our faculty and students span the entire stack, from circuits and antennas to networks and AI, and take on the open problems that will shape the next generation of wireless systems. Working with our affiliate members, the center did early, influential work on millimeter-wave communication for 5G. Today our research explores the technologies of future systems, including the upper mid-band, satellite networks, sub-THz, AI-native networks, wireless sensing and quantum, supported by testbeds and real-world applications. Together with our affiliates, we aim to bring these technologies to life and turn new ideas into the next generation of connectivity.
